Provision of training in good clinical practices (GCP, GCLP, CDM) for individuals involved in clinical trials and other studies involving human subjects, clinical monitors, and key institutional and regulatory stakeholders
Organization of WHO-TDR supported training courses and workshops (e.g., Product Research and Development, Immunology and Vaccinology Applied to Dengue Infection) 
Provision of training courses associated with targeted research
Facilitation of training and education opportunities for health research stakeholders in the region

Ensure the implementation of GCP in clinical trials through monitoring
Coordinate and support WHO-TDR CCTC clinical monitors and institutions that practice good research through coordination of cross-network activities 
Facilitate communication among ethics committees reviewing health research in the region
Provision of technical assistance in the adoption and implementation of standard operating procedures (SOPs) for ethical review in the region
Provision of technical support and services for clinical studies (such as therapeutic drug monitoring, pharmacokinetic & bioequivalence studies, high throughput screening of compounds for antimalarial activities, sensitivity tests for antimalarials & antibacterials, and analysis of antimalarial resistance genes)

  Ensure the implementation of GCP clinical trials through certification and recognition: Clinical Trial Audit Programme, GCLP Recognition Programme, Clinical Monitors Recognition Programme, SIDCER (Strategic Initiative for Developing Capacity in Ethical Review) Recognition Programme, and FERCAP Surveyor Recognition Programme
